DORTHY K. CLOWARD
Dorthy K. Cloward has written music since she was fourteen when she learned a few guitar chords. Though she was raised in the gospel, she read the Book of Mormon at the age of twenty-five. She knew the whole way through that it was true. The Lord opened her eyes and a whole new world came to her view. That is when she started writing music of a spiritual nature. She wrote for assignments in her stake and ward, for family and friends, and for her love of Heavenly Father and Jesus. The songs she writes bear testimony of them and of the glorious gospel plan.
She is married to the awesome Raymond L. Cloward and they are parents to eleven children. Ray's first wife Linda passed away at the age of thirty-eight. One and a half years after her death, Dorthy became their children's other mother who would also love them eternally. She had adopted one son previous to her marriage that Ray adopted after they were married. Ray and Dorthy were then blessed with two boys by birth. Five of their children are married for time and eternity, and five children have served missions. They are grandparents to nine grandchildren with more on the way.
